Celebrating 70 Years of Broadway Glass: 2016-2025

2016-2025: Our Team: The Heart of This Decade

September 1, 2025 marked our 70th Anniversary!

In celebration we continue our history of Broadway Glass with our final entry, the last 10 years 2016 – 2025.

In our last chapter, we spoke about the company growth from 2005 – 2015, we now dive into 2016 – 2025, Our Team: The Heart Of This Decade.

As told by current Broadway Glass owner Ron DeWolf

2016 – 2025:

Looking back, this decade has been defined by uncertainty, resilience, and growth. In 2018, we made the decision to close Mac’s Glass and sell off its assets. Just two years later – during the height of COVID shutdowns – we also closed the Cal State Glass & Mirror location. From that point forward, Broadway became our primary focus and just like so many businesses, we faced shutdowns, staffing changes, and inflation, but what kept us moving forward was our team.

This decade has been about people stepping up, growing into new roles, and working together to keep the company strong.

Chrissy really grew into her own as a leader, transitioning into the role of Chief Operating Officer. With her shift in responsibilities, we welcomed Sarah to take over bookkeeping. Over time, Sarah’s dedication and responsibilities have grown as well – today she serves as our Vice President, guiding Human Resources and ensuring we stay on top of compliance.

To strengthen our commercial operations, we added Hector as Senior Estimator. Hector has been instrumental in nurturing relationships with our contractor partners, working closely with Rami, our Project Manager, to keep projects on schedule and on budget.

On the residential side, Gale has been the warm, welcoming voice answering calls and scheduling your work, while David, Cherry, and Luke have been the key to more than doubled the size of that department since its early days.

Behind the scenes, Christina has been the one to jump in wherever needed while Chris is instrumental in keeping materials, our team and our trucks moving in and out of the shop and Edith truly serves as the “steering wheel” of our team—maintaining relationships with our service contractors and keeping all of us on track.

If you’ve visited our updated showroom, you’ve probably met Jay Lee. With more than 30 years in the glazing industry, Jay brings deep expertise and a helpful approach—whether it’s a glass replacement, a new screen, or selecting the right hardware.

And, of course, none of this would be possible without our field crew: six talented foremen, both commercial and residential, supported by a team of apprentices. They are the true craftspeople, bringing our projects to life with skill and precision.

This decade hasn’t been without its challenges, but every struggle has only made our team stronger. Their resilience, dedication, and pride in their work are what carried us through – and they are the reason we’re operating at our very best today.
